This client came to us with a few different heirloom jewelry pieces that had been gifted to her over the years. She cherished each and every piece, and each one held a place in her heart – but the jewelry just wasn’t particularly her style.

We see this exact scenario all of the time – people don’t want to get rid of the jewelry because it carries so much meaning, but it’s just not something that they’d wear. We work one-on-one with clients to get a good sense of their style & what they’re looking for to be sure that we can create something that they will wear every day.

Our client was interested in making a ring, and upon taking apart one that she had brought in, she absolutely fell in love with its big, sparkling sapphire center stone. She decided that she would like to create a new solitaire ring using the sapphire from her old ring.

We used a bezel setting to really make the stone pop and put it on a significant band to better match the style that the client wanted. She is still trying to decide what she wants to do with remaining stones from the original ring and the other pieces she brought in. (Stay tuned!)
