Retail Sales Associate


M. Flynn is a women-owned jewelry boutique in the South End that offers a different experience for shoppers combining both fine and fun costume jewelry. We serve the modern jewelry customer who mixes high and low jewelry. M. Flynn designs fine jewelry in-house, including engagement rings, and carries designer jewelry from a selection of brands such as David Webb, Anna Sheffield, Foundrae, Lizzie Fortunado and La Californienne. We love jewelry, have a fun unique environment and we are looking to add the right person to our team!


– Create a positive and rewarding client experience, that is warm and hospitable in all customer interactions, maintaining the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism
– Achieve sales goals through exceptional client experience and relationship development
– Possess strong product knowledge of M. Flynn’s products, brands, and services
– Advise and assist customers with their choices of M. Flynn pieces for themselves and for gifts
– Work with the M. Flynn team to ensure excellent client experience and contribute to a positive environment

Clienteling & Customer Service

– Respond to and resolve client issues, comments, and complaints
– Follow jewelry intake processes for custom projects and repairs
– Capture all clients data in support of building and developing lasting relationships
– Keep clients engaged and up-do-date with current inventory based on interests and needs

Store and Operational Support

– Assist with opening/closing procedures
– Assist with daily upkeep of the store as needed (inventory, organization, restocking of supplies)
– Merchandising, styling and overall daily maintenance of the cases (i.e. maintain proper visual standards; product maintenance and backstock organization)
– Partner with support team in the repair process and follow up on customer communication
– Work with vendors and designers to fill customer orders & follow each order through the production process to ensure timely delivery compliance with specs
– Help with in-store event planning and personal client invitations


– Extremely strong and proven sales skills, preferably in fine jewelry
– Can work in a collaborative environment
– Strong styling eye and personal taste level
– Experience with relevant social media platforms
– Effective interpersonal and communication skills
– Solution oriented, self-starter
– College degree or work experience equivalent
– Strong computer skills (Lightspeed & Insightly a plus but not required)
– Pass all security and background checks
– Ability to work Saturdays
