WORK AT M. FLYNN

M. Flynn has been changing the jewelry landscape in Boston since it opened 15 years ago. M. Flynn designs jewelry including engagement rings and wedding bands in-house, and also carries jewelry from incredible makers like Anita Ko, Brent Neale, Kwiat, Melissa Kaye and Marie Litchtenberg.

With a focus on the country’s most wanted designers and M. Flynn’s own custom jewelry program, the store serves the modern jewelry customer who mixes high and low pieces and seeks jewelry that fits their personality and lifestyle.

CURRENT OPENINGS

Web and Marketing Assistant

The Web and Marketing Assistant works with the Marketing Manager to ensure the online shopping experience, outreach and service matches M. Flynn’s instore experience and ultimately promotes online sales growth. This position also assists in helping to create marketing plans which include outreach through email as well as social media strategy. This position effectively leads, develops, and supports our team to create inspiring and exceptional customer experiences, and set the tone for the store team as they assist customers to discover and deepen their connection with M. Flynn.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, however other duties may be assigned based on business necessity:

Website

  • Update new product photos and descriptions with SEO standards in mind
    • Create and maintain product suggestions for each product in the online catalog
  • Update and maintain M. Flynn’s overall web content, copy, and navigation with an eye on ease of use. Make suggestions on improvements that may help drive sales
  • Work with marketing manager and web programmer to update design and layout as well as test new website features and check out procedures
  • Create new blog posts weekly/monthly, tying to new designers, product, custom projects, bridal, and store events
  • Monitor online sales, identify patterns to help make changes to website
  • Create reports to track year-over-year online sales, online price points, online brand sales and online category sales

 

Marketing/Social Media Support

  • Help create weekly marketing emails and text messages
  • Help schedule photoshoots for new product, keep list of product and content for M. Flynn to shoot
  • Work with Sales Team on Mug Club and Self Car(a)et events
  • Work with team to help coordinate events off-site and in-store. Keep list of requirements for events
  • Monitor comments, reviews and conversations on M. Flynn’s social media channels Facebook, and Instagram
  • Help to create daily and weekly content, and work with manager to maintain calendar of posts and stories and events
  • Organize social media events and partnerships to increase followers 

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Consistently performs as a positive, supportive and professional representative of the organization.
  • Regularly monitors/returns messages when out of the office and ensures coverage is identified/communicated when away for extended periods such as vacation, sick or leave of absence.
  • Help enter store purchase orders and organize company purchases
  • Performs other duties as required.

    • Individual must be able to work on site with a primary schedule of Tuesday’s through Friday’s from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, and Saturday’s from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm – some flexibility and adaptability may be requested.
    • Individual is required to attend occasional special events scheduled in advance.
