There was a mix of bands and rings but we focused on a 3-stone diamond engagement ring to make a bezel set cuff. We had never made a cuff with such substantial stones so it was such a treat. Other diamonds were added to the cuff from her rings. We also added a diamond on one of the openings which allows the cuff to be worn either way. A convertible piece (we love having two looks in one piece of jewelry).
When it comes to reworking jewelry, there’s always a balance of creating what the client wants, and using the materials that they have. Our client really wanted a super sparkly bangle to add to the stack, but she only had a few smaller stones to work with. Luckily, she was willing to add stones to create the bracelet she wanted, and it really completed the look. The stones actually fit into a piece that we typically carry in our own line, so it was meant to be and more economical than creating a new piece.
