We recently remade a simple pair of diamond studs for interior designer and frequent M. Flynn collaborator, Erin Gates (@elementstyle), and they turned out so stunning!

The diamond stud earring is a very common remake for us, and we love to transform the classic jewelry staple into something more unique and fun. There are so many ways to dress up a stud but still keep it practical for everyday wear.

Erin had lost one of her diamond stud earrings so she thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to have them reset into something more substantial. We first matched the diamond that she already had and then started thinking up some new design ideas. We thought that it would be really fun to add a diamond halo to amp up the sparkle.

We gave the halo hexagon shape to make it a little bit more interesting.

We made a prototype of the new setting and decided that the halo was too small. The second try turned out just right and was so sparkly and stunning! We just love how these everyday diamond earrings turned out.
