The

Insider

As a jewelry designer I am constantly on the lookout on what’s new and unique.  Megan and I appreciate and constantly promote one-of-a-kind jewelry.  Who wants to have the same thing that everyone else has?  Having said that, the collector in me has an appreciation for a small selection of name brand staples.  I don’t need to have any jewelry that you see on the Real Housewives but I have been drooling over Cartier’s “Juste Un Clou” collection since it’s reissue in 2012.  We were especially excited when we stumbled upon one of the original rings from the 1970s at auction.

The Cartier Nail Bracelet was created by in-house designer Aldo Cipullo in 1970, who was also the mastermind behind the more famous Cartier Love Bracelet.   While the Love Bracelet continued its popularity, the Nail Bracelet was discontinued and wasn’t re-launched until recently.  The bracelets are a perfect combination of elegant, edgy and fun and easy to pair with other fun bracelets.  The ring is a perfect pointer or pinky ring and it’s even cooler to think that this was one of the original pieces signed by Cipullo. It’s a cool piece to add to our estate jewelry collection and look forward to finding more!
