CURRENT OPENINGS

Jewelry Product Development & Repair Specialist

Position Summary

We’re looking for a highly skilled bench jeweler with strong knowledge of jewelry construction, repair, and production workflows. This role combines hands-on bench work—including basic jewelry repairs and fused bracelet services—with project coordination for our custom, repair, and product development programs.

Success in this role requires equal parts technical expertise and organizational ability: you’ll repair and fabricate jewelry at the bench, while also managing timelines, vendors, and communication across our sales and production teams.

Because we are a small, close-knit team, collaboration is essential—you will work daily with sales, our production assistant, and other bench jewelers to keep projects moving smoothly from concept to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform basic in-house bench jewelry repairs and fabrication, maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain and execute the Fused Bracelet and engraving programs, including operating the laser and engraving machines.
  • Organize and oversee all custom and special-order projects, ensuring clear communication between sales, production, and vendors.
  • Set and manage daily/weekly workflow priorities for in-house benchwork and vendor jewelers, while keeping the sales team clearly informed on timelines and progress.
  • Manage vendor repairs and in-house work to meet deadlines and, quality standards, and client expectations.
  • Coordinate new product development, sourcing materials, and tracking profitability.
  • Track and approve product quality, implement price changes, and monitor inventory levels.
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, and secure handling of all projects.
  • Keep bench and production areas organized, clean, and productive.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, team-focused environment by communicating openly, supporting colleagues, and maintaining a positive attitude.

Who You Are

  • A trained bench jeweler with strong technical skills in repair, fabrication, and jewelry construction.
  • Exceptionally organized, able to manage multiple projects and priorities without losing track of details.
  • A natural collaborator who works well across departments and values input from others.
  • Experienced in jewelry production workflows, with strong follow-through on deadlines and budgets.
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on technical work with administrative coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of bench jewelry experience, including repairs, stone setting, and fabrication.
  • Strong understanding of jewelry construction and materials.
  • Experience with custom design or product development.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheets or similar project management tools.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary + performance incentives
  • Paid vacation & sick time
  • Health care contribution (medical, dental, vision)
  • Simple IRA with company match
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Jewelry credits and discounts
